A full sourdough boule needs more room than most bread bags give it. We made ours 17×13 inches — big enough to close the drawstring comfortably around a 900g loaf. The linen breathes exactly the right amount. The beeswax coating lets it. Your bread stays crispy outside, soft inside, for up to 5 days.

  • 100% pure linen — not cotton-poly, not "natural blend." Linen is naturally more moisture-wicking than cotton and ages beautifully with use.
  • Real food-grade beeswax — no additives, no mystery coatings. If we can't explain every ingredient, it doesn't go on the bag.
  • 17×13 inches — sized for a full sourdough boule. Tested with loaves up to 1kg. Drawstring closes comfortably with bread inside.
  • Machine washable — cold water, gentle cycle, air dry. Tested through 50+ wash cycles without losing shape or wax coverage.
  • 2-pack — because serious bakers bake more than once a week. One for the loaf you just baked, one for the one still in the fridge.

Care Instructions

Machine wash cold, gentle cycle. Air dry flat. Avoid hot water (beeswax softens above 65°C). Re-wax annually if needed by placing in a warm oven on parchment for 2 minutes.

Baguettes and batards can't proof in a banneton — they need the support of a linen couche, folded between loaves to hold their shape during the final rise. Ours is cut from heavy-weight, unbleached European linen: the same material professional boulangeries have used for centuries. Nothing synthetic. Nothing treated.

Ours uses a hand-turned hardwood handle and a standard replaceable double-edged blade, so you can keep the tool for years and change only what needs changing.
